Day 23 #SOL17
Our lives are filled with many magical moments. They are treasured gifts that warm my heart when I am reminded of them. The magic occurs as my senses are awakened with the sounds, sights, tastes, scents or contact. I relive the event and rejoice in who I became as a person, due that magical moment.
Magical Moments in My Life:
- Going for ice cream with my father while listening to the baseball game on the car radio
- Making a tent in the yard with a blanket, the clothes line, and clothes pins
- Working in the garden with my mother
- Playing tennis with my brother
- Walking the college campus that my oldest sister attended
- Receiving my Master’s Diploma
- My first job as a teacher
- Laying in bed with my mother as everyone as was at school
- Waiting for my father to come home from work
- Holding my nieces and nephew in my arms
- Picnicking at Valley Forge Park with my neighbor and mother
- Taking Sunday walks with my mother
- Walking to Gino’s with my cousin
- Playing in my first tennis tournament
- Playing tennis on the grass courts at Merion Cricket Club
- Tying my shoes for the first time
- Reading Dick and Jane books
- Seeing Bjorn Borg and getting his autograph
- Going to work with my father
- Getting my own library card
- Having my poem selected for publishing in high school
A great list that captures many small moments. You could probably turn any one of them into a slice! You may have just brainstormed ideas for the rest of the month.

Some of these would make fantastic slices. Getting my first library card was a pretty magical moment for me too! I just might need to write about that in a future slice!
